Hayden could get chance as defensive midfielder at Hull

Arsenal are ready to loan the England youth international Isaac Hayden to Hull City. Arsène Wenger believes Hayden will benefit from a spell at Steve Bruce’s club in the Championship.

Wenger rates Hayden and he gave him a contract at Arsenal in February 2014. The 20-year-old made the first of his two senior appearances for the club in the League Cup penalty shootout win at West Bromwich Albion in September 2013 and also started against Southampton in the Capital One Cup in September 2014 . He was an unused substitute in the Champions League last-16 second-leg tie at Bayern Munich in March 2014.

Capped at every England level from under-16 to under-20, Hayden can play in central defence or defensive midfield and he is expected to get his opportunity in the latter position at Hull. The deal stands to be the first loan of Hayden’s career.
