Santi Cazorla desperate to atone for Monaco defeat

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla admits that he is desperate to atone for his side's Champions League loss to Monaco against Everton in their Premier League match.

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has revealed that he and his teammates are determined to bounce back from their Champions League defeat to Monaco with a victory over Everton.

The Gunners fell to a 3-1 loss at the Emirates Stadium, leaving their hopes in Europe's elite competition in jeopardy, and the Spaniard is desperate to atone for their display in their Premier League clash against the Toffees later today.

Cazorla told the club's official website: "The good thing about football is that we always have the chance for revenge really quickly. I think we deserved the criticism for what happened with Monaco but we have the opportunity to take revenge against Everton.

"It's going to be a tough game but it's a good opportunity to change the dynamics a little bit and obviously focus on the table. It's a very important game because we are fighting for Champions League [football]."

Arsenal can move above Manchester United into third place in the table with a win over Everton.
