Mathieu Flamini has complete faith in Arsene Wenger amid injury crisis

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has complete faith in Arsene Wenger to guide the club through their current injury crisis.

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has said that he has complete faith in Arsene Wenger to guide the club through their current injury crisis.

Francis Coquelin became the latest player to suffer an injury for the Gunners as he was ruled out for up to 12 weeks with a knee ligament problem.

Arsenal are already without Mikel Arteta, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott and long-term absentees Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck.

However, Flamini has confidence that the club will be able to maintain their challenge for the Premier League title and to reach the next round of the Champions League.

"It has been like that for him for so many years, he has always been under control and he always knows what he's doing," Flamini told Sky Sports News.

"He believes in us, and we believe in him. So we are very proud to have him as our coach.

"Hopefully that shows how much he believes in his team, and that's obviously very important for the players, and I believe every single one of us wants to pay that back on the field each game."

Arsenal kept their hopes of reaching the last 16 of the Champions League alive by defeating Dinamo Zagreb, which means that they can advance by beating Olympiacos in the next match.
