Thierry Henry: 'Arsenal may have wasted title chance'

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry claims that the Gunners "can't let any more opportunities slip through their fingers" if they are to lift the Premier League.

Thierry Henry has accused former club Arsenal of throwing away their chance to claim a first Premier League title in more than a decade.

The Gunners, last crowned champions of the English top flight in 2004, have taken just one point from their last two games.

In what is shaping up to be one of the tightest title races of all time, Henry believes that drawing with Tottenham Hotspur and losing to West Bromwich Albion could now cost Arsenal come next May.

"Arsenal have wasted two chances in two weeks to take control of the title race," the Frenchman told The Sun. "If they are going to win their first Premier League since 2004 they can't let any more opportunities slip through their fingers.

"If they had beaten Spurs and West Brom like they should have done, they would be three points clear at the top. Instead they are fourth and have squandered five points which could prove decisive in the end.

"They have also allowed Tottenham back into the dogfight and given belief to Liverpool they might still have a chance."

Arsenal have the chance to regain their place back at the summit of the Premier League should they beat Norwich City by five clear goals on Sunday evening.
