Olivier Giroud thankful for Arsene Wenger faith

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud says that he is grateful to Arsene Wenger for keeping him in the team for Sunday's 2-0 victory over Everton.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has admitted that he is grateful to manager Arsene Wenger for keeping faith with him as he scored in the victory against Everton.

The Frenchman missed several chances in the 3-1 defeat to AS Monaco on Wednesday and was substituited after an hour.

However, Giroud was restored to the side for the 2-0 success over the Toffees on Sunday afternoon.

"Arsene Wenger gave me the chance to bounce back," Goal.com quotes Giroud as saying.

"We wanted to do that together and I think we did well this afternoon. We will take things step by step. We just want to focus on our games, to keep doing what we are doing."

Arsenal have moved up to third in the Premier League with the victory.
