Smith Rowe through to U-17 World Cup semi-final

Emile Smith Rowe was an unused substitute as England Under-17s reached the World Cup semi-final, beating the USA 4-1 in India. Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster scored twice inside the opening 15 minutes, before Wolves’ Morgan Gibbs-White added a third shortly after the hour mark. Josh Sargent pulled one back for the USA, but Brewster rounded off the scoring with a penalty in the final minutes.
