Arsene Wenger avoids punishment for Raheem Sterling criticism

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will face no further action over his criticism of Raheem Sterling following his side's 3-1 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday. Wenger was angered by a penalty incident involving Sterling during the match at the Etihad Stadium, with the England winger going to ground under the challenge of Nacho Monreal before Sergio Aguero tucked the resultant spot kick home to make it 2-0. The Frenchman said after the match that Sterling "dives well" before launching a scathing attack on the "unacceptable" standard of refereeing in the Premier League.
