Arsenal accept Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will leave - report
Arsenal have been attempting to tie Sanchez and Ozil to new deals for at least 18 months but have been met with resistance from both camps. As the pair entered the final year of their deals in the summer, Arsenal accepted a bid from Manchester City for Sanchez on the proviso that they sign a replacement before the deadline. But a move for Monaco’s Thomas Lemar collapsed and Sanchez was forced to remain at the Emirates, while there was little genuine interest in Ozil from clubs despite his proven creative ability. City are understood to be considering the possibility of signing Sanchez in the new year while Ozil has been linked with a shock move to Manchester United. GETTY...
