Wenger backs short-term Szczesny, but can't assure future

Having decided that Wojciech Szczesny will start Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Reading, Arsene Wenger has understandably backed the quality of his former number 1 keeper. However, he was unable to give any assurances about the player's long-term future with rumours that the club are on the lookout for a new goalie this summer. Speaking at this pre-game press conference yesterday, Wenger admitted it was a ‘bad game' at Southampton that saw the Pole lose his place and that he's now suffering because of David Ospina's form. “I replaced Wojciech because he had a bad game,' he said.
