Dr Tim Sonnex

It was with deep regret that Arsenal Football Club learned of the death over the weekend of Dr Tim Sonnex, after a short illness. Tim joined our medical team in 1976, and has provided care and support to our first team and academy players ever since. Across four decades with Arsenal, he was a reassuring and highly professional presence at both Highbury and later Emirates. Greatly respected and with many friends in the game, Tim also provided medical support to the Football Association and England for over twenty years. He was the Senior England Doctor for the Three Lions’ backroom team at the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan. Tim will be sorely missed by all who knew him and the...
