Champions League seedings for next season may punish Arsenal
Uefa has published Champions League regulations for next season confirming a seeding change to reward national league winners that may end up punishing Arsenal. Top-seeded teams in eight groups will be the defending Champions League winner plus titleholders in the seven highest-ranked countries. If the Champions League winners also win their national title then the eighth top-seeded team will be the champions PSV Eindhoven, who are ranked 30th in Uefa’s club standings.
