Increasingly bored by the formulaic coaching that defined his life as a professional, Potter completed an Open University degree in social sciences while still playing. He is the focus of a documentary, The Comfort Zone – the title of which is taken from the methods he uses: he gets his side to sing and perform in front of each other regularly
