Arsenal news: Jack Wilshere 'hoping Arsene Wenger intervenes in contract talks' and wants Gunners stay

Jack Wilshere is still eager to stay at Arsenal and is waiting on the club to offer him an improved deal. The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and has been told he must take a 25 per cent pay cut to extend his Emirates career. Wilshere has rejected the offer, with the 26-year-old believing he is worthy of better terms. Having spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, he has fought his way back into the Arsenal team and been among their most impressive performers this term.
