Top 30 record home attendances in English football history – revealed

Chelsea have been given the green light to start work on their new £1billion stadium on the site of Stamford Bridge. The Blues settled a dispute with a neighbour who opposed the construction and will now move ahead with their plans. When it has been built, Chelsea’s new arena will hold 60,000 spectators, making it one of the largest in the Premier League. It won’t, though, help the club break their home attendance record, which currently stands at an astonishing 82,905, which was set during a Division One game against Arsenal back in 1935.
