Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger backs safe standing proposals

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given his backing to proposals to introduce safe standing at Premier League stadiums. West Bromwich Albion recently tabled the notion but had its plans rejected by the government. Wenger, however, believes that the idea of safe standing in the English top flight should be further explored on the grounds that it would improve the atmosphere at matches.
