Arsenal players ‘shocked and upset' at surprise staff change

Arsenal players have been left ‘shocked and upset' after a long-serving member of staff lost his job on Monday. Arsenal's head of medical services, Colin Lewin, was removed from the post after 23 years in the job. Lewin's time with the club predates even Arsene Wenger's, having joined in June 1995. David Ornstein of BBC Sport says that his departure ‘is the latest in a series of backroom exits', and is ‘part of a medical department restructure'. Many of Arsenal players and staff members are said to have been left ‘shocked and upset' at Lewin's surprise exit.
