Arsenal FC news: Unai Emery confirmed as manager of Premier League club

Unai Emery has been appointed as Arsenal's new manager, the Premier League club have confirmed. Emery, formerly of Paris Saint-Germain, has signed a four-year contract with the Gunners. He succeeds Arsene Wenger, whose departure from north London after 21 years was confirmed in April. Wenger left Arsenal after 21 years at the end of 2017/18 The Spaniard, 46, worked predominantly in his homeland prior to joining PSG in the summer of 2016; his greatest success came with Sevilla, whom he guided to three successive Europa Leagues between 2014 and 2016.
