After a long wait, Arsenal fans finally got to see their team under the guidance of someone other than Arsene Wenger as they lined up against Manchester City in their opening fixture of the Premier League. Unfortunately it wasn't to be a happy welcome to the Emirates for Unai Emery as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to the champions.
