Williamson - Last year felt like the turning point
Leah Williamson can remember last year’s Continental League Cup final triumph like it was yesterday. The England defender starred at centre back as we kept a clean sheet against Manchester City, and she is hoping for a similar performance in Saturday’s rematch at Bramall Lane.
“Last year meant a lot,” she told Arsenal Player. “I’ve been here for quite a while now and we’ve always brought home silverware. I’ve always been lucky enough to make a final each year, but that just sort of felt like a bit of a turning point.
