FFP never worked completely, says Wenger
UEFA president Michel Platini's claim that FFP rules are set to change has come of no surprise to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. Arsene Wenger is not surprised that UEFA is relaxing its Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations and claims the system has "never worked completely". European football's governing body introduced FFP as a way of preventing clubs from spending beyond their means, with fines imposed on teams found to be in breach. The likes of Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter are among those to have been punished for falling foul of the rules in the past 12 months.
