Mohamed Elneny played just over an hour of Egypt's 2-0 victory over Uganda as they topped Group A. Having already won their opening two games, the hosts knew another victory would secure top spot but they were initially under pressure, with goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy twice called into action to deny Farouk Miya and then Emmanuel Okwi. But Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah gave the home side the lead when he curled in a free kick midway through the first half, before Egypt captain Ahmed Elmohamady doubled their advantage after the restart.
