In what has been a largely disappointing campaign from a defensive point of view for Arsenal – the Gunners have already conceded 34 goals in the Premier League – it has been little surprise to see them being linked with a whole host of centre-backs in this January transfer window. Reports in recent weeks have claimed the Gunners have earmarked the likes of Nathan Ake and Dayot Upamecano as potential targets, and it now appears a new man has entered the mix. According to Mykola Matviyenko's agent, the north London side have been in talks with Arsenal's representatives, and that they are keen to get a deal done for the 23-year-old before the end of the winter window.
