David Luiz set to stay at Arsenal as Benfica can't afford 'unthinkable' wages

Arsenal defender David Luiz is set to stay with the Gunners, according to Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira – days after the star was linked with an exit. The Brazilian signed a one-year contract when he moved across London from Chelsea last summer in an £8m transfer deadline day deal. But the 33-year-old fuelled speculation about his future after admitting he held talks with Benfica, where the defender spent five seasons before heading to the Blues.
