Jonny Evans has revealed Manchester United ’s squad was left stunned when Robin van Persie agreed to join from Arsenal. Back in 2012, the Dutch striker made the bold move to swap the Emirates Stadium for Old Trafford in search of some silverware. It proved to be the right call from the former Gunners captain as Van Persie won the Golden Boot in his first season with United. He helped Sir Alex Ferguson retire with a Premier League title triumph, which the club have failed to achieve since.
