Ex-Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admits regret over Financial Fair Play
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he fought hard for financial fair play (FFP), but admits that he regrets the way it has helped the teams who continue to dominate. FFP was introduced by UEFA in 2011 to stop teams from getting into long-term financial difficulty as spending continued to increase, leading to more debt. The regulations have regularly been criticised from different parties, while certain loopholes and issues have been found throughout the years.
