Arsenal target Thomas Partey makes Atletico transfer decision amid £45m interest
Arsenal transfer target Thomas Partey will reportedly not force a move away from Atletico Madrid. Partey is believed to be Mikel Arteta’s top target with Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes having already joined the Gunners. It had been claimed that Arsenal offered £22.5m plus Matteo Guendouzi to Atletico earlier in the summer in an attempt to sign Partey. Atletico are believed to have reiterated to Arsenal at the time that they want Partey’s 50m (£45.6m) release clause to be paid out in full. It’s been claimed that Partey has rejected the offer of a new contract, wanting more money to commit to the La Liga giants.
