Matteo Guendouzi has reportedly had to beg the Arsenal board to allow his exit after being made a scapegoat by boss Mikel Arteta. Guendouzi has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer, having not played since the Gunners' Premier League defeat to Brighton in June. The French midfielder was involved in an altercation with Brighton's Neal Maupay during the 2-1 reverse, and has been frozen out by manager Mikel Arteta ever since.
