Mesut Ozil set for Arsenal exit in January with MLS clubs still keen on deal

Mesut Ozil could leave Arsenal in January after being left out of their Premier League squad. The 32-year-old is the highest-paid player in club history on £350,000-a-week but has not played since March. Talks have yet to bear fruit overpaying up his contract and Ozil, who had already been left out of Arsenal’s Europa League squad, will now explore his options. MLS club DC United remain interested in the German World Cup winner, who has fallen out of favour under Mikel Arteta and is in the final year of his contract.
