How much Arsenal will save per game after leaving Mesut Ozil out of squad

Arsenal could save an estimated £35,000 for every game that Mesut Ozil doesn’t play in after leaving the German midfielder out of their Premier League squad this season, it has been reported. Ozil was left “deeply disappointed” after being axed from Mikel Arteta’s squad this week, having also failed to make it into his 25-man Europa League squad. It means the £350,000-a-week star is unlikely to feature for Arsenal again until January at least, when he will be expected to find a new club.
