Arsenal flops among Schalke players egged by own angry fans after relegation

Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi were among the Schalke players attacked by their own fans following relegation from the Bundesliga. Kolasinac is on loan from Arsenal while Mustafi joined Schalke on a permanent deal from the Gunners though the pair couldn’t stop the side suffering the drop. It is the first time in 33 years that Schalke have been relegated with fans not taking the news well. A group of up to 600 angry supporters reportedly waited for the team bus to return to their Veltins-Arena home following a 1-0 loss at Arminia Bielefeld, which sealed relegation.
