Prem ‘requests big six club chiefs step down from roles’ - or face being removed
Premier League chief executive Richard Masters has reportedly contacted chiefs at big six clubs asking them to relinquish their roles on the working groups. Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, and Manchester City have all received criticism this week over proposals for a new European Super League. Protests have been seen outside grounds of those involved with fans demanding owners leave their clubs. Though Sky News report that Masters has asked Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck and Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham to step down voluntarily from their roles or face being removed against their will.
