Arsenal to bin scouts in radical overhaul as Gunners look to make most of money

Arsenal are set for a radical transfer overhaul that will see the club replace scouts with office-based analysts. The Gunners’ famed scouting network has already been the subject of significant cuts this season. Ten senior members of the department with long-term connections to Arsenal were let go last summer despite unearthing the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith-Rowe and Reiss Nelson. Head of youth recruitment Steve Morrow was also given the chop as part of an academy restructure which saw eight members of staff leave the club. And the overhaul shows no sign of stopping, with Emirates chiefs set to shake-up the club’s worldwide scouting system in favour of a data-led approach....
