Signed from Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day in October, the Ghanaian midfielder responded to Arsenal’s SOM (Save Our Midfield) in a deal worth around £45m. Where Arsenal are concerned, that isn’t pocket change- especially as the gap between the present and the Gunners’ most recent Champions League qualification yawns ever wider.
