Emile Smith Rowe asked for Arsenal No.10 shirt despite Mikel Arteta's concerns

There may be a number of reasons why, after a disastrous run of form in the build-up to the festive period, Arsenal's fortunes began to change from Boxing Day onwards, but the most obvious factor would be the introduction of Emile Smith Rowe to proceedings. The 20-year-old offered the Gunners an entirely different way of playing, his first game coming in the 3-1 home victory over Chelsea where the playmaker was a constant thorn in the side of the Blues.
