Arsenal dump Ainsley Maitland-Niles from first-team training after blocking his transfer

Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been dropped from first-team training after Arsenal blocked his move to Everton. The 24-year-old midfielder had been expected to join the Toffees on loan before Tuesday's deadline. But Gunners boss Mikel Arteta reportedly vetoed a deal even though the England international is not part of his plans. Maitland-Niles has not started a Premier League game this season amid competition for places at the Emirates.
