Match report: Arsenal Women 5-0 Manchester City

By Aidan Small WHAT HAPPENED   Our perfect start to 2021/22 continued on Sunday as we climbed to the top of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League table with a 5-0 victory over Manchester City.   Jonas Eidevall’s side have now won each of their opening seven fixtures across all competitions this term, scoring no fewer than three goals in each game.   Manchester City dominated possession throughout at Meadow Park, but with our perfectly-executed gameplan to counter in numbers and play direct, we created chance after chance and could have scored more on the night.   Our first of the evening, however, was a gift from the visitors.
