AFCON 2021: Egypt, Ivory Coast and Tunisia through
Egypt secured their place in the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations after Mohamed Abdelmonem’s 35th-minute header sent them on their way to a 1-0 win over Sudan at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo. Mo Elneny's side take on Nicolas Pepe's Ivory Coast this Wednesday for a place in the quarter-finals.
Ivory Coast progressed unbeaten from Group E after beating Algeria 3-1 at the Japoma Stadium last Thursday evening. Goals from Franck Kessie, Ibrahim Sangare and a second goal of the tournament for Pepe sealed the win.
