David Luiz misses sitter with last kick of local derby as fans slam Arsenal flop

Former Arsenal flop David Luiz has been savaged online after missing a sitter in the dying moments of Flamengo's derby defeat to Botafogo. Luiz had an unsuccessful two-year stint with the Gunners after quitting Chelsea back in 2019, with the erratic defender perhaps best remembered for a string of high-profile clangers. The 35-year-old returned to his native Brazil last year to see out his career. He penned a 15-month deal with Flamengo, who locked horns with their bitter rivals, Botafogo, on Sunday.
