International striker's agent meets Arsenal officials to discuss transfer

We are in need of reinforcements this summer, with a striker high on our list of priorities. Juventus' Fernando Llorente has emerged as a somewhat surprising candidate, and Arsenal officials have now met with his agent to discuss a move, according to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport. The report claims we are plotting an £8.5m bid for the Spanish striker, which is actually slightly worrying. Despite the fact that we are badly lacking in the striking department – with Olivier Giroud our only recognised out and out centre-forward – Llorente arguably isn't of the calibre we require.
