Maurizio Zamparini: 'Joel Campbell deal not agreed'

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that the club are unlikely to complete a deal to sign Arsenal forward Joel Campbell. The Costa Rican spent his first campaign with the Arsenal first-team squad last season, but a lack of opportunities persuaded Arsene Wenger to send him out on loan to Villarreal. Despite reports suggesting that Palermo were close to agreeing a £7.1m fee for the 23-year-old, Zamparini claims that the two clubs are still far apart in their valuations.
