Schalke 'open to signing Sami Khedira'
Schalke have revealed that they would be interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira at the end of the season. The German international has been with array of top European clubs, including Premier League Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool. However, Schalke manager Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that the club would consider signing the Real star, if he is interested in moving to the Royal Blues. He is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: "[Sami] Khedira? We all know he's a great player. "If he wants to join us, our doors are open to him. He's a world-class footballer." Khedira joined Los Blancos from Stuttgart in 2010.
