Reading Eyeing Arsenal Scout McDermott For Manager's Job
It has been reported that Reading hope to tempt Brian McDermott back to the club from Arsenal. Arsenal chief scout McDermott had a 13-year association with the Royals – where he climbed from scout to manager – and led them to the Premier League. But he was sacked by bosses following four defeats in a row in March 2013. The Mirror says Reading are set to offer McDermott a sensational return to the Madejski Stadium hot seat. Royals chiefs are also keen on ex-Leicester manager Nigel Pearson, Dutch legend Dennis Bergkamp and Bradford gaffer Phil Parkinson.
