Tottenham look to beat Arsenal to £15m international striker

Tottenham are looking to fend off North London rivals Arsenal in the race to land Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi, according to the Daily Mail. Spurs chief Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly keen to land another marksman in order to relieve some of the workload placed upon Harry Kane’s shoulders as the club’s only natural striker. Batshuayi has emerged as a top target following his good form in France after moving from Standard Liege in his native Belgium in 2014. The 22-year old has scored 19 times in 42 Ligue 1 games since making the switch and has been valued at around £15m.
