Basel defensive midfielder could be Arsenal’s only signing this January
According to this morning's Daily Mail, Basel defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny could be Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's only signing during the January transfer window. The British tabloid newspaper suggests that Wenger is happy with his team and feels that the current squad is big enough to see him through until the end of the season. Various reports, including the Daily Telegraph and the Metro, are suggesting that Arsenal have found their defensive midfielder in the form of Basel's Mohamed Elneny, and that the 23-year old will undergo a medical in Switzerland before signing for Arsenal shortly after the transfer window opens on Friday.
