Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger expects Madrid transfer ban to be 'cancelled'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has predicted that the transfer ban issued to Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will eventually be scrapped. The Spanish outfits were issued with the sanctions after both breached rules in relation to signing foreign players under the age of 18. Both clubs have announced their intentions to appeal the ban, which will prevent them from registering new players in the summer and January 2017 transfer windows. When asked about the punishment, Wenger told reporters: "They will appeal, they will cancel the ban and they will be allowed to buy in the next two transfer windows. That's what will happen."
