Arsene Wenger confirms new deals for Arsenal duo
Arsene Wenger has this morning confirmed that duo Chuba Akpom and Francis Coquelin have signed contract extensions to keep them at the club for the foreseeable future. Both Akpom and Coquelin's deals were due to expire in the summer, but due to their performances in recent months, their contractual situations became a priority for the club. Akpom's case was particularly noteworthy. He's a young starlet who's been at the club since the age of seven and with his enormous potential, we couldn't really afford to let him go – especially as he's so close to the first team.
