Wellington Silva exits Arsenal to join Fluminense in Brazil

Wellington Silva signed for Arsenal in 2010 but was not granted a work permit initially. Arsenal's Brazilian winger Wellington Silva has returned to Brazil to join Fluminense after failing to play a single game for the Premier League giants. Having signed for the Gunners in 2010, Silva failed to get a work permit and spent time on loan in Spain with Levante, Alcoyano, Ponferradina, Murcia and Almeria. It was not until the 2015-16 season that he finally received his work permit, but was subsequently sent out on loan to Bolton Wanderers, where he made 22 appearances and scored two goals.
