Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil both "love" the club after the Gunners' 2-0 derby win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil both "love" the club after the Gunners' 2-0 derby win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Ozil starred against Spurs on Saturday as Sanchez netted his side's second at the Emirates to put Wenger's men in full control in the first half.

Sanchez and Ozil are the subjects of ongoing transfer speculation as the pair enter the final months of their current contracts, but Wenger says that the situation is under control.

"I'm long enough in the job to know that [one game] is not enough [to make them sign]," the Frenchman told Standard Sport. "The quality of the contract must be good and enough for them.

"I am convinced they love the club, they love the team. The rest will be decided. When, I don't really know. I alone cannot master that. Is it the quality of the contract. No. It's part of it. The whole thing has to be right.

"They have to be happy. They want to stay but as well other good clubs out there offer good contracts as well."

Arsenal's win over Tottenham was their first in the Premier League in six attempts.
