Nelson, Ballard, Nketiah, Willock all on target

Reiss Nelson for England under-21s

We had 10 Gunners in international action on Thursday night. Read on to find out who was involved and how they fared:

Reiss Nelson scored as England Under-21s secured their spot at next summer’s U-21 Euro finals with a 7-0 win over Andorra.

Ade Lookman, Ezri Konsa, Dominic Calvert-Lewin (2) and Dominic Solanke gave Aidy Boothroyd’s side a 5-0 lead, before Reiss Nelson came off the bench and made it six with a stunning back-heeled effort. The 18-year-old’s dangerous cross then forced an own goal from Christian Garcia to round off the scoring.

Daniel Ballard scored a last-gasp winner for Northern Ireland Under-21s as they picked up a 1-0 victory over Iceland.

Our tough tackling defender leapt high and headed home from a corner in the 89th minute, to set up a potentially crucial final group game against Slovakia on Tuesday evening.

Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah were both on target for England Under-20s as they defeated Italy 2-1.

Nketiah broke the deadlock in the 19th minute with a low drive, before Willock doubled their advantage from the penalty spot. Davide Frattesi pulled one back for the visitors, but the Young Lions stood strong to hold on to their lead.

Elsewhere, Emile Smith Rowe scored and assisted for England Under-19s as they ran out 4-1 winners over Portugal.

Smith Rowe opened the scoring in the second half with a slotted finish, before substitute Felix Nmecha made it two. Marc Guehi and Ian Poveda-Ocampo rounded off the scoring.

Finally, Tyreece John-Jules scored in England Under-18s 4-0 win over Sweden at St George’s Park.

John-Jules broke the deadlock in the 20th minute from the penalty spot, before Faustino Anjorin, Arvian Appiah and Ethan Laird worked their way onto the scoresheet. Arthur Okonkwo, Bukayo Saka, Folarin Balogun and Vontae Daley-Campbell all featured.
