What the papers say

Wage demands could become a sticking point in negotiations between Ander Herrera and Manchester United. According to the Mirror, the 29-year-old is said to want £200,000 a week, more than double his current salary, but United are working around figures of £125,000 a week. The Spaniard’s contract ends in the summer but it's thought that United bosses are keen to keep the midfielder at Old Trafford for at least three more years.

FourFourTwo Staff

FourFourTwo was launched in 1994 on the back of a World Cup that England hadn’t even qualified for. It was an act of madness… but it somehow worked out. Our mission is to offer our intelligent, international audience access to the game’s biggest names, insightful analysis... and a bit of a giggle. We unashamedly love this game and we hope that our coverage reflects that.
